A sorrowful, heartbreaking song doesn’t always have to be set to a heavy melody. The feeling of being abandoned becomes even more poignant when framed by lively guitar and drums. This time, Jeffrey boldly adopts a band sound to interpret the emotions of many who leave home in pursuit of a dream and a different way of life. Using Paris as the theme, the song could just as easily be about any corner of the world. The world outside isn’t always as beautiful as imagined—often, reality is far crueler. But life is full of difficulties and obstacles. Those who leave carry regrets, and those who stay behind are equally heartbroken. Some things you believe will last forever may, as the lyrics say, fall apart in just one second. So cherish what’s in front of you, and embrace what you have now.
